Focus Areas

Language of instruction and focus areas:

  • The vocational programs are taught in Greenlandic.
  • The professional bachelor’s program is primarily taught in Danish and focuses on:
  •  Early childhood education and childcare
  • Social issues and youth work
  • Elderly care
  • Support for people with disabilities

The institution also includes a research and development department with a focus on arctic pedagogy,
as well as arctic and international issues.

Guest students are welcome to study at the Perorsaanermik Ilinniarfik/College of Social Education for
a semester.
