The organizers of the 20th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering Under Arctic Conditions (POAC) have extended the deadline for abstract submission. The new abstract submission deadline is Saturday, 15 November 2008.

The conference organizers invite abstract submissions for presentations at the conference. Abstracts must be submitted by Saturday, 15 November 2008, and must be no longer than 300 words, to be included in the abstract proceedings at the conference. A prize will be given to the author(s) of the best student-authored paper.

To submit an abstract, please complete the registration form and email it, no later than Saturday, 15 November 2008, to: Lennart Fransson

The conference will be held 9-12 June 2009, in Lulea, the capital of Swedish Lapland. Every second year since 1971 POAC has provided a forum for discussion of new developments and research findings on many ice-engineering topics. Topics to be included in this year's conference
