Arriving under stormy conditions, the student group was forced to postpone their departure for Riding Mountain National Park by a day and were confined to starting the workshop in the Winnipeg hotel. The students wasted no time in engaging in discussion around the declaration, which continued the following days among the beautiful nature of the park.

As a final point, the declaration was presented to the Rectors on Wednesday afternoon. From the students’ perspective, the following key points need to be considered for the future development of UArctic.
  • Visibility
  • Knowledge exchange
  • Improved educational opportunities
  • Active student representation
The final day of the Student Forum brought the students together with Rectors’ Forum events, and concluded with the gala dinner.
