Building on the strong existing network of Arctic Studies scholars and policy experts in the Fulbright Program, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs is launching an interdisciplinary collaborative research initiative focused on the Arctic region. The Fulbright Arctic Initiative will support a team of scholars and researchers from the Arctic Council member countries to research and assess the impact of change in the Arctic and engage in collaborative thinking, analysis and problem solving. The Scholars will come from different countries and different fields but will share a commitment to working together to understand and address Arctic issues. Areas of research focus may include climate change, water, energy, health, and infrastructure, among others.
