International exchange students of the University of Lapland's Faculty of Art and Design have created gift concepts for UArctic Student Ambassadors as part of their Finnish Design course. The designs from the past two courses are displayed February 23 - March 10, 2016 in Gallery Kajo in connection with the Arctic Design Week.
This year’s participants were undergraduate students, graduate students and young scientists from Russia, China, India, the Republic of Korea and Norway. Participants conducted field experiments with natural material and took samples for laboratory testing.

During the 15-day course (1-15 June 2016) by University of Alaska Fairbanks, students will learn about Arctic vegetation, soils, landforms, permafrost, geology, wildlife and land-use along the incredible research transect from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, traversing boreal forest, alpine, and Arctic biomes.
