The application period begins on December 4, 2017. The deadline for qualified scholarshop applicants is February 1, 2018, and for self-financed/sponsored applicants March 1, 2018.

The first summer session for English-speaking foreign students at the University of Oslo was organized and held in 1947. Since then over 30,000 students from more than 150 countries have attended. In 2017, the ISS welcomed 503 students from 81 different countries to six intensive weeks of learning both inside and outside the classroom.
