II International Arctic Legal Forum "Conservation and Sustainable Development of the Arctic: legal aspects" was held in St. Petersburg, Russia, Nov 12-15, 2014. The ACUNS Canadian Northern Studies Trust offers a variety of awards in support of northern research at the undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral level. The competition for the 2015-16 is now open!


Antioch University New England has highlighted its recent membership in UArctic during a visit by UArctic President Lars Kullerud and Vice-President Organization Outi Snellman, as reported in the Keene Sentinal. Antioch president Stephen Jones is the former chair of UArctic's Board of Governors.

Lapland University Press has released a new book on art and design, Relate North 2014: Engagement, Art and Representation. Edited by Timo Jokela and Glen Coutts, this is the first international peer-reviewed publication produced as part of the work of the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD).
